The Secret Bag

I am so excited that I finally get to talk about the little project I've been working on! I decided to make some tote bags for my Mom and Mother In Law for Christmas. But obviously I had to wait until after December 25 for the big blog reveal. I started with some gorgeous fabrics from the Darla Collection.....
Cut them up into stacks of 5" squares.....
Played around with the placement of all my cute little squares....
And in no time at all I had two adorable Chubby Charmer Bags....
Now, I get to add this little beauty to the "Sew Fab Exclusives" category in the shop. And speaking of the "Sew Fab Exclusives"......I'd originally planned on adding a new "exclusive" to the shop every week. I know, I know - that hasn't gone exactly as planned! But, I think a new goal of adding a "Sew Fab Exclusive" kit once or twice a month is quite do-able and would make an excellent New Year's Resolution! I've got ideas for about a million new kits - it's just that pesky "there are only 24 hours in a day" thing that always gets in the way!

I'm off to work on my next new kit.....

They're Finally Done!

Baby Bags

Ahhhhh......they're finally done. This is the yummy fabric project that I mentioned a couple of weeks ago. But I have a valid excuse for why it took me so long to get such a simple project done......

CassiBag

It's kinda hard to finish a bag when your cat refuses to move off of the partially completed project. And those of us with kitties know the rules..... you absolutely, positively cannot disturb a happy cat. So a huge thanks goes out to Cassi for finally allowing me to finish these! And now she can have her bag back!

Jane's Aviary Bag

Mom Bag 1

So, my Mom fell in love with the Aviary Collection and grabbed a pre-cut bundle a few months ago. But here's the problem.....she hasn't touched a sewing machine in about 30 years. And when I mentioned that she could make a tote bag with the fabric she became a little obsessed with that idea. I bet you can see where this is going already. Obviously, I re-claimed the bundle and made her a bag using the "Weekender Tote" pattern. I love the way this bag turned out and I'm going to offer it as a kit. So here's your bag Mom - I hope you like it!

Yummy!

Baby Bag Fabric

Just look at all this yummy fabric goodness! I had a great idea for a cute little kit I'm going to make up with these beauties (well, obviously there will be 2 different kits - the celery and baby blue colorway and the black and pink colorway). I'll be gone on vacation all next week (woo hoo!) so I'll be getting to these right when I get back. I just wanted to give you a little sneak peak!

P.S.

Emma is going to Grandma's for the week - let the spoiling begin!
