Hey there, it's me Emma Jane! Happy Valentine's Day! Oops....I'm a day late.....but I'm a dog. I have an excuse for not knowing what day it is. But for me every day is Valentine's Day because I'm such a love sponge. At least that's what everyone tells me. So in honor of all the sweetness and love that's going around I picked the "Something Sweet Quilt Kit"......
Isn't it adorable??? I love the angled borders and the sweet applique hearts all over the quilt. And it's the perfect little size for a table topper or a wall-hanging. Most of the fabrics are from the Patisserie Collection. It's one of my favorite collections ever....so delicate and pretty.....
And we picked a great fabric for the corner triangles. It's called "Goose Down Pillows." Don't you just love the names they give these fabrics???And since the fabrics aren't overly "Valentine-y" you can use this little sweetie of a quilt year-round.
I hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day and I'm sending lots of puppy kisses your way.
XOXO,
Emma Jane

Emma's Pick Of The Week - Regatta
Ahoy There! It's me, Emma Jane! As you can see by my snazzy sailor hat I'm in a very nautical mood today. I wish I were sailing across aqua waters on a warm, sunny, summer day right now. I'm guessing that those of you in the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic are vigorously nodding your heads in agreement right now. That's why I picked the Regatta Quilt Kit from the Nautical & Nice Collection....
Isn't it amazing? And those sailboats are done with piecing not applique! There's a great diagram in the pattern showing how the individual sailboat blocks are put together. And I just LOVE the border fabric....
It looks like plain blue ticking from a distance but up close you can see all the cute red stars and other details. And I would suggest some Nice Navy Waves for the backing....
This Sea Dog is gonna go take a nap and dream of easy, breezy, warm summer days.
XOXO,
Captain Emma Jane

Emma's Pick Of The Week - Tea Party
Hey there, it's me Emma Jane! Would you like to come to my Tea Party? I'm a wonderful hostess and I love a good cup of tea. That's why my pick this week is the brand new Teatime Floral Collection by Lakehouse Dry Goods. How cute is this Teacup Panel???
And this Vintage Button Fabric....
And this Fat Quarter Bundle is full of dreamy blue wonderful-ness.....
I'm going to go sip on my tea, eat a few dog cookies, take a nap and dream of what I'm going to make with this heavenly fabric.
XOXO,
Emma Jane
P.S. The adorable little tea set is from Target! I got it yesterday (Jan 31, 2010). It's a 14 piece set and I found it in the children's toy department. So, if you're reading this in February and if you like the tea set you can probably still get one....hurry, go, quick like a bunny!
