July Giveaway - Lush Running Stitch Bundle

 We Have A Winner!
The winner is Mom2RyandSis who said "Cute Fabric!  Thanks for the chance to win!!"  Thanks to everyone who entered!
Lush by Patty Young for Michael Miller Fabrics
Happy July!  I know I'm a little late with this but better late than never, right?  This month we're giving away a Lush Running Stitch 1/2 yard Bundle (3 yards total) by Patty Young for Michael Miller.  These fabrics sold out so fast the first time they were in the shop and after a very long wait we finally have lots and lots of each color back in the shop.  Apparently they are very popular with the modern quilters who are buying yards and yards of every color to have in their stash.  And they look a little bit like Rainbow Sherbet to me so it seems like the perfect thing to give away during the heat of July!

Just leave a comment to be entered to win.  I'd love to know if you like making modern quilts?  What's your quilting style?  Personally, I like cutesy or shabby chic/romantic or traditional style quilts.  I haven't really ventured into really, really modern quilting yet.

And if you're wondering if you missed the June Giveaway.....nope....you didn't miss it.  I just never got around to posting it!  Between 18 year old Cassi Cat getting sick and Mr. Sew Fab's Birthday and then I got sick.....well...it just kind of slipped my mind!  Oops!

Anyway, leave your comment by midnight on Monday, July 16.  I'll pick a winner on Tuesday, July 17.....assuming I don't get a rock in my shoe or a thorn in my paw or a knot in my hair or some other random, lame excuse for always running late on things!

Good Luck and Happy Sewing,
Jenny

that's alright .. we all run on our own time! june was not a god month ... it supposed to be summertime and summer is late! slow, too, it's the middle of july and the temp is 51, the days are grey, damp, if not wet.
i love colors, too, but i'm not really modern, just slightly outside the contempory, tradional, so-so line. am too old to say i'm such and such.

There is always something to get in the way of quilting. This time it was a horrific storm. After days of picking up branches and no power things are getting back to normal and I can use my sewing machine again! I tend to like traditional patterns using modern fabric.

I just don't have a set style - try a little of everything including modern. This fabric would work great with some improv blocks!

I'm more of a traditional quilter. Thanks for the great giveaway!

I wouldn't call myself traditional butI'm nit totally sure I'm modern. Mostly I just make what makes me happy. And I make it colorful.

I love shabby chic and thought I only liked traditional quilts, but I received some free scraps from Art Gallery Fabrics in purple and lime green and decided to make a picnic quilt.. OMG I love it, so maybe I like both just didn't have the courage to buy it and find out! Linda

I'm a modern quilt fan - it is the style of quilting that first got me interested in making quilts. And I fell in love with this fabric bundle the first time I saw it = thanks for the chance to win!

I started out modern, but more and more I'm moving towards traditional blocks, but in nice bright modern colors. That fabric is wonderful.

Love this fabric! It would look great on my modern style quilts.

I've made one modern quilt and blocks for a group wonky modern quilt. On the modern quilt, I liked the fresh, clean look of the white background. On the group wonky blocks, I have to keep reminding myself to use solids. I like the look.

I love the fabrics. I love stitching quilt now.

I've made one almost modern style quilt using the Bloggers Block-a-Palooza and Modern Block QAL blocks. I like all kinds of quilts. This is the first introduction to this collection of fabrics and they are wonderful. Thanks for the giveaway. Your e-newsletter prompted me to check your blog too (usually go to shop and read newsletter).

Thanks for the chance to win. The Lush fabrics are so pretty and summery.

I just started quilting, and have used mostly squares: like charm sized, mixed with sashing. I kinda do my own thing. When I become better (I have only done the tops), I will definitely try all the different styles. Thanks for the chance to win :)

I too prefer the subdued colors and shades of shabby chic. I have ventured into some modern quilting; blocks that are wonky or raw edged, but they aren't my favorite.

kbzelazny said...

Love that fabric. I make fabrics with bright colors. Thanks so much!

Janice said...

I love the colors, I just started collecting fiesta ware & the colors remind me of the fabric colors. They would look nice in a table runner or quilt.

Oh my - be still my beating heart! I've just jumped on the Modern Quilt bandwagon and all of my fabric stash is looking decidedly Not modern. These would be heaven on a stick (or in a cupboard, in my case)!

I'm new to quilting but I think I'll tend to be a more modern quilter only because wonky angles and funky patterns and colors are a bit more forgiving...traditional quilts (beyond basic blocks, that is) need someone with more precise skills than I possess right now. I'm sure my lines are going to be off and my seams a bit off-kilter for awhile.

Thanks for the chance, the fabric is gorgeous.

I think my style is both modern and traditional. It just depends on the fabric if you know what I mean.

Wowsers! I would love this pack! Trying to build up my bright stash again as I am always running out and these are perfect! I make just about anything from modern to primitive. Just depends on my mood and the pattern.

I absolutely like modern quilting. I'm a member of a modern quilt guild in Iowa and it's refreshing to see so many views of what modern quilting is all about. You're right about needing solids for a modern stash. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity.

These would be wonderful to help build my stash! I tend to be a more traditional quilter, but I love some of the more modern fabrics.

Ive always been traditional although my fav quilts are the bright ones, these are gorgeous fabrics

My favorite quilts are ones that are based on traditional quilt blocks. I am partial to quilts with a pink & green color scheme. I recently won a modern quilt block book & am almost ready to venture into the 'modern' world!!

Cathy said...

I like to do different styles, letting the fabrics help me decide. These fabrics are awesome and could be fun in both traditional and very modern styles. Thank you for a chance to have some more summer fun!

Beth said...

I would say I make mostly modern quilts - sometimes using traditional designs with a modern twist.
