Oh, my favorite summer memory would have to be re-reading The Help while watching my kids play in the pool. Our bedroom is a beachy theme, so I'd likely use this fabric for some throw pillows...or maybe all sewed together and made into a dust ruffle since I don't have one yet.

Kristy said...

Very pretty! My favorite summer memory was relaxing at the beach with my family. I love watching the kids love the ocean, and I love not having to watch the clock! :)

Thanks for the chance to win! Not sure what I'd make....hmmm...maybe something for our trip next year! ;) Already READY!!!

Absolutely love this fabric. My memories are not 2011 but are for many trips to the Oregon coast. Mom and I would get away, just the two of us. Walk the dog on the beach. Eat clam chowder and small shrimp salads at Mo's in Newport. Poke around in antique and junk shops. Stay at Sailor Jack's and have a fire at night in one of their little metal cone shaped fireplaces.

Oh, and my most memorable day of this summer (although summer isn't NEARLY over here in AZ!) was not a happy one - it was the day I was laid off! But it has all turned out to be a blessing really, although I have not yet gotten a new job.

My favorite summer memory is the birth of our second grandson.
This collection would be great in a vacation memory quilt I am planning now.

My favorite summer memory was when the WHOLE family vacationed together in Colorado. We went fishing, hiking, horseback riding and roasted about a million marshmallows over a fire at the end of the day.

My favorite summer memory was our family trip to hubby's family's farm. Our boys are finally old enough to get to experience farming and will remember this trip for a long time. They got to go out to the fields and ride in the equipment to spray / combine / haul. We all had alot of fun! I would love to make a quilt to put on my couch - those colors are so bright & cheerful! Thanks for a chance to win! :)

My favorite summer memory was watching my daughter stand up paddle board around the lake. She uses it as her personal diving board.

My favorite memory this summer is my daughter taking me to the beach (Newport,OR) for my 70th birthday. Her daughter's (my granddaughter) 15th birthday is the day after mine so we celebrated it together at the beach. The giveaway? I would probably add it to my stash for a colorful scrap quilt.

Summer is my absolute FAVORITE time of year and this one was no exception. I took up rowing again, after a couple years off. Saturday mornings on the river are just beautiful when the water is still and the air is warm!

My favorite summer memory was a boat trip with my sisters and their families on the St John's River. I don't see my sister's often, so any time we can get together is really special. We fished and picnicked and had a great time. I would make a lap quilt with this bundle.

Love this fabric and it would make a beautiful quilt to keep me warm this cold winter in Penna. My favorite summer 2011 memory is going on several kayak trips with my friends. Fall in now here and I plan to get one more kayak trip in to see the leaves changing colors.

Summer memories-there are so many. Vacations in Colorado and fishing for rainbow trout. Barefoot and playing with horny toads all day and then turning them loose before going inside for the evening. Finding a new litter of kittens. Fishing with my grandpa, he taught me well. Oh and in the winter, staying at Mrs Lumley's house overnight and sleeping under a mound of hand made and hand quilted quilts. So many it was hard to turn over.
