We Have A Winner!
The winner is JuneBug who said "That fabric is so gorgeous, especially when you see it all together like that! I love Kate Spain.I'm one who likes to have only one or two projects going at any given time. I used to be a strictly one project at a time girl, but that is unrealistic when working on a big project and you have to get little ones done in the mean time :)"
Congratulations JuneBug! And I'll let you know the results of the poll in my next blog post!
Happy February! Today is Giveaway Day and I think you're going to LOVE this one. We're giving away a 16 piece Good Fortune Fat Quarter Bundle by Kate Spain for Moda Fabrics!!! Good Fortune arrived last week and I've gotta say.....the colors are so amazing and rich and vibrant in person. I had a "knock me over with a feather" moment when I opened the big boxes full of fabric - I couldn't believe what I was seeing! I'm in love with this Eye Candy!
Just leave a comment and you'll be entered to win. I'd love to hear your answer to this question: Do you finish one project before starting another or do you have many, many projects going on at the same time? If you've read any of my previous blog posts you probably know which category I'm in - I have about 20 unfinished projects going on right now!
Be sure to leave your comment by Sunday, Feb 5 at midnight. We'll pick a winner on Monday, Feb 6.
Good Luck and Happy Sewing,
Jenny

Oh how beautiful that fabric is.
I have too many projects in various stages of development to count - and still looking at other fabric to start new projects!
(Don't tell my husband, though).
I have WAY too many projects going-knitting as well as quilting! Oh to be so disciplined to finish b/f starting something new!!
Oh my word, LOVE the new line! I always have projects on the go... I still in fact am still 'working' on the hooterville quilt hahaha. oy. Are you done yours yet?
I have many projects going at one time. Love the fabric.
I have several projects going at one time, but nicely stored LOL.
Omigosh that's gorgeous fabric!
Sadly, as much as I like to get just one thing done before moving on to the next one, I typically have about five projects going at the same time. My only personal rule is that they're all different - only one quilt, one doll, one bag, one toy, etc., at a time.
Oh! Oh! Oh! I love it sooooooooooo much!
my sis laughs at me for the number of projects i have going and stashed :) it would be my good fortune to win this bundle! thanx for the opportunity to do so.
I work on many projects at once. I like to work on different things at different times. I like making some small items as I'm working on something large, so I get the gratification of finishing something too. It's so exciting to start a new project! I also have numerous project in the "next" category. I love this new line and the colors.
Many, many things at once for sure!
The curse of multi-tasking!
Thanks for the fun, this is gorgeous fabric!
I am definitely in the many projects at the same time category. I can't count them anymore :)
Seems like for each project that I finish, I want to start three others...
I have multiple projects going at one time. Unfortunately, I often begin more projects than I finish. I'm trying hard to reverse this trend. My studio will thank me (eventually).
I have many little projects going at a time, but I try really hard to stick with only one big one at a time ... pressure to finish one before starting another is the only way I actually get anything done! I do purchase fabric for many projects into the future though :-). BTW, I adore Good Fortune!!!
I have 14 unfinished quilts currently. (I just finished one last night! Woohoo!) I definitely don't finish one before starting another. :)
I love Kate Spain's designs! I have several projects going on at once. Thanks for the great giveaway!
When I started quilting about 16 months ago, I started one project and finished it....couldn't understand why people didn't do that....fast forward to today, oh dear got a few things on the go at the moment...it's the thought of doing the sandwich...all those pins...oh you get the picture. :-)
At the moment I'm finding it hard to finish even one project! I have way too many on the go and even more planned out in my head - I could do with an extra 8 hours in each day to achieve anything, lol.
Good Fortune looks amazing! Thanks for the chance to win :)
I have about 10 projects going on at a time. It's terrible. I'm really trying to be better about those darn UFOs this year.
It depends if there is a deadline, if I have a deadline it will be finished for sure.
Oh! Soooo many projects! I nedd projects differents with differents destinations (baby quilts for friends, double quilts, patchwork, needleturning, stitchery...). And many in my minds...
hahahahahahahaha....FINNISH one project before starting another. Too funny! I have a friend who actually does that....and I still like her.
I'm mimicking bmayer because that's first thought I had when I read the question...hahahahahahah!!! Finish a project before I start another? Probably never, ever happened. I DO finish things, I'm just not monagamous. (PS - I'd love to win that yummy bundle - thanks for the chance!)
The first comment that popped in my head is, "Of course not! How many creative people do you know with only ONE on-going project? That's like finding a honeybee dancing around in a field with only one flower." Then my less spastic self said, "I'm sure there are a ton of creative types commited to a single project at a time so they can focus whole-heartedly on what they are creating." Then no. 1 piped up again, "Are you crazy? No one has only one project at a time. These juices have got to flow, man. Whenever, wherever."
They are such delightful fabrics, Just yummy, as for how many projects in progress, i think usually about 6 or 7. Knitting, sewing, crochet, other craft and quilting, all in progress and i go from project to project, spending some time sewing and then in the evening knitting and crochet.
I just LOVE Kate Spain fabrics & would be over the moon to win! As for whether I finish one quilt before starting another - uh, no!!! I sometimes wonder if I have quilter's ADD because I am always seeing something new I want to start. I have to really keep a rein on what I allow myself to have going at one time!
Love Kate Spain! It's no fun to just have one project on the go. I try really hard to finish one before starting another but sometimes it just can't be helped.
Like when some fabulous fabric comes along. Thanks for such a lovely giveaway.
I almost always finish a project, but that doesn't mean I don't have UFOs. Sometimes the project and I have an argument and I need to walk away before things get ugly.
I very, very seldom start another project before one is finished. It just has to be out of necessity. Beautiful fabric!
I have several projects going at one time. I love this fabric. I recently made a quilt with Terrain and it was gorgeous.
I confess...I have a bad habit of getting sidetracked by new projects and fabrics before I get current ones finished. I think I need more than a cat's nine lives!
This collection is so beautiful! Thanks for the chance to win.
Ooooooooo......maybe I will have the "Good Fortune" to win this fabric!! Thanks for the chance
to win!!
I try to work on one project at a time... but it never fails that another idea pops into my head and I just have to start on it!!
That fabric is so gorgeous, especially when you see it all together like that! I love Kate Spain.
I'm one who likes to have only one or two projects going at any given time. I used to be a strictly one project at a time girl, but that is unrealistic when working on a big project and you have to get little ones done in the mean time :)
Good Fortune is beautiful. I wish I could finish one project before starting another one. There is just way too much gorgeous fabric & wonderful patterns available. I have way too many projects going on & let's don't even talk about flimsies that need quilted. But it sure is fun!
I love Kate Spain fabric! I do one or two only at a time. If I'm waiting on something for one, I work on another. I also crochet when time allows. Thank you for this super giveaway. I don't have any of this line.
I just love all of Kate Spain's fabric as I love her. She is such a sweet person.
I have to say that I am always working on many projects as I think I get bored fast. I see new fabric and I go off again.
I love these colours. (Although there hasn't been a Kate Spain line that I haven't loved!) I have far too many projects going on at once - I always love the excitement of starting new things but without a deadline, my enthusiasm dwindles...
What a lovely giveaway!
I love the combination of colors. Lovely shades. And a great giveaway.
I can't seem to finish one project before starting another. Hubby likes to say I have "Quilter's ADD." :P
Sandy A
I definitely have multiple projects at a time that I work on! This way I can always have something different to do if I want :)
I have many, many projects going on at the same time. And I would LOVE to win this fq set to add to my project list!
Never! In fact I rarely finish a project...........grin. I'm bad.
Oh Kate Spain I just love her fabrics.......
Me I have many projects going...sometimes I wonder what it would be like to finish one before starting another but knowing me I would get bored and I really do not think I could do it.....
Lovely giveaway......
many, many, way too many...but i feel it helps, walk away from one, return with fresh eyes
That's a good question! I typically have one big project going on and a few smaller ones (like bee blocks I'm collecting or a bag I'd like to make). But one quilt at a time is how I roll. :)
I'm afraid I don't have a very good track record for finishing things, but I'm trying to improve! Great giveaway - thanks!!
I have way too many projects at one time, but in order to finish anything, I have to stop and finish one at a time.
I'm rehabbing a 30 year old log cabin quilt that I first did with my son when he was 5 years old. I let him (at the time of original construction) select the pattern of how he wanted the blocks laid so he would feel more like part of the process. It must have worked. He brought it to me about 3 years ago and asked me if I could fix it where it was more or less dissolving with age. He said - Mom, this quilt has been with me my whole life and it means a lot to me. Can you fix it please?
This quilt was one I would have run from trying to fix but I saw how much it meant to me and so I am doing it - I am having to take the blocks apart and replace some of the logs because the original fabric is just pretty much gone. I have no idea how this will turn out - I sure couldn't find exact fabric matches so the fabric will be an adventure. Some of the fabric in this line looks like the type I am using to refurbish and yes it is a beautiful line....
Her fabrics are so gorgeous! What a great giveaway! I usually have only one quilting project going on and on "hands on" project like cross stitching.
too many projects on the go at once! every now and then I do a big spring clean l and try to finish up at least a few things before moving onto the bigger projects. at least i don't get bored :-)
love kate spain!
I love Good Fortune....been eying for a while. I finish one project before starting another. I don't have much time or space to be working on several projects at one time!
People who work on one project at a time until it's finished are like people who don't like chocolate - I just don't believe they exist!!
(Yes, I have many, many projects in various stages and always have more ideas than finishes!)
I have many, many projects on the go at once! It doesn't matter how hard I try to just have one at a time I always get distracted by the next cute project *g*
Hi there! I usually have several projects going at once! I can't wait to see this gorgeous fabric! Thanks for the giveaway!!
I am loving the look of this new line. I have many projects going on at the same time. Thanks for the chance to win. Lisaandmariahcreations@gmail.com
WOW I love this fabric and have fingers crossed...
Oh no, one project at a time. Not when there is constantly beautiful fabric coming out! Love Kate's stuff.
I love this fabric!
I finish piecing 1 quilt at a time and try to go right to quilting it. I hate having things unfinished.
I love this fabric!
I always have many, many...many projects going.
GORGEOUS! And Im trying to get as much as possible finished before moving on to another project. TRYING is the key word there! ;-)
I'm a no more than three projects at a time person. :)
where is the fun in just working on one project? I have so many to do I have to have several in the works most of the time. Thanks for a great giveaway to you and Kate
I _usually_ finish one thing before starting another, but I am starting to accumulate a few UFOs here and there. My big problem is having way too many projects right on the verge of getting started... there are a ton of those!!!
Very nice fabric :) I usually finish one project before starting the next--I have this horror that if I don't finish a project, I'll forget about it and it'll NEVER get done :)
I also have about 20 unfinished projects on my pile;-)
Beautiful Fabric! I always have more than one project going :) Thanks for the chance to win!
Beautiful patterns!!
lovely fabric and thank you for the giveaway. I am in the same boat with you - many WIPs! thanks!
What a great giveaway! I love this fabric. Sooo pretty!
I usually have several things going at a time. Sometimes it's a quilt and a tote and a mug mat and a table runner - well, you get the idea! My mind is always flitting from one thing to another.
Thanks for an awesome giveaway!
I usually have between 5 and 10 projects in varying degrees of completion. My resolution for 2012is to finish all of my wip as of 1/1/12 (hopefully).
Love this fabric... Just love it.... I'm sorry did I tell you just how much I love this fabric?
I love having multiple projects going on at once. I have a hard time finishing. I get cranky when I have to devote a whole block of time to just one project becuase I'm on some sort of imaginary deadline. Love this line!
I WANT...lots of Good Fortune
Usually have more than one quilt project in the works - right now I have 3 active quilt projects - and 2 UFOs where I'm unsure as to what to do next. But, if I win this Good Fortune all will be set aside so can jump in and make something.
I always have a couple of projects going at once. Right now, I'm working on a quilt for my son and I'm stitching embroidered blocks for another quilt. Plus I love to do small projects just to actually finish something!
Love this fabric line!
I have so many unfinished projects going on right now that I am afraid to count them. I am now going to try to finish one project all the way through this year. Wish me luck (or good fortune *wink*)
I started few projects at once but can't completed it on time. :) thx for the giveaway.
I usually finish before starting a new one. But it happens lately that I have few projects going on at a same time..never more than 3 though.
I'm sadly one of those that have many ongoing projects. I keep meaning to be a finisher...maybe one day :)
When I'm sewing I'm pretty good about finishing, except for a quilt that I started for my daughter two years ago. I do have a bunch of crochet projects going at the same time, though!
I work on many projects at a time. Cute fabric.
cutekipepeo(at)gmail(dot)com
I usually have 2 or 3 going at a time.
I have ADD when it comes to crafts. I start tons of things. One day I want to work on one type of craft, then I want to work on something else the next. I just love all types of crafting so it's hard to keep my focus!
Easy question. I have many, many quilts in progress. I made a list of them and it went on for pages. Ridiculously, I then made a list of quilts I want to make, and that list was several pages long, too. I am forcing myself to finish something from the first list before I start something on the second. No actual finishes yet, but it is motivating me to make progress.
Finish? You are supposed to finish one before you start another? Not me, I have many going at once. Keeps the boredom away. and they do all get finished, just not in a sequentially order.
Thanks so much for the give away
I tend to have 2 or so projects going.
a quilt and some nonquilt sewing (bags, playmat, totes, etc.) It keeps me interested to do this. That said i might devote a while week to just one to get it done. Thanks for the giveaway.
Practicalquilts.blogspot.com
I do have several projects on the go. So much to try so little time. Thanks for the chance to win your great giveaway!
LOVE that fabric! Would be a great excuse to add to my already too large WIP pile... :)
I love this fabric! So, I always have at least 6 quilt projects going on at the same time, usually all at different stages. Somedays I like to cut, or sew, or iron, or layout… you know the drill :-)
wow! great giveaway! love the colors :-) maybe it will be my lucky day on feb 6th.
I had a good laugh with your question. I don't know anyone that doesn't have at least one UFO hanging around!! And I'm the worst offender. One of these days I will start with a "rotation" program to get some of them done!!
thanks for the great giveaway!

Really it´s a pity but I have several unfinished projects. I always keep on mind a new project before finishing another.
I can be knee deep in UFO's....but that NEVER stops me from starting something new (G)!!! Drat those blogs and Pinterest too. I will never catch up with all of the quilts I want to do!!!!
I Love this fabric! I try not to have more than 2-3 projects going at once. I like to try and finish something while I'm still excited about it! Thanks for the giveaway!
What beautiful fabric!! I usually have a few projects going on at the same time. No more then 3 or 4 though.
WOW_Love this line of fabric and the designer has only produced winners! Kate Spain is coming up fast as one of my favorites. Hope I win- have the perfect pattern in mind to use! Thank you for the opportunity to enter and maybe it will be my "good Fortune" to win!
Mary Ann
I have many many projects going at the same time - that keeps it interesting! AND, I love the colors in this fabric collection!!!
Im with you, I have at least a dozen projects in tow at once.
I always have at least a zillion projects going at the same time, but every once in awhile I have massive finishes, one after the other!
LOVE this fabric. Kate Spain has such beautiful designs.
Kate Spain's fabrics are so fresh and modern ... and as beautiful as they are folded up, they are even more gorgeous incorporated into a project! I sew and finish one project at a time... I might have 2 projects cut,
up on deck" and ready to sew next.
Sue legato1958@aol.com
Love the fabric and I definitely in the "way too many projects" goin' on category! :)
I would love to win the Kate Spain fat quarter bundle. I love her fabrics. I usually have 2-3 projects going at one time.
Wellllll, it's my GOAL to finish each project before I begin another one, but things don't usually work out that way. I start dreaming about a new project (or projects), then begin to consider patterns, collect fabric, and before you know it, there's more than 1 project on my sewing table.
I used to do just one project at a time. The past few months I have started doing the multiple projects at the same time. I'm not yet sure which I prefer.
A couple of years ago I counted my UFOs. Now I consider it a UFO once fabric is cut. If I am collecting fabric for a particular project, I do not consider it a UFO. At that time, I counted and wrote down 30 UFOs. I have since thrown that list away. I have made an effort to finish 2 UFOs before starting a new project. It is all the fabric designers' fault. If they would not come out with such great looking new fabric, we could finish our UFOs with that fabric that is over 5 years old!!
More beautiful fabric by Kate Spain! Love it! Want it!
I guess I must have a short attention span as I fall into the category of having many projects in the works all at the same time. Multiple quilts, cross stitch, wool appliqué, and....I am always open to delving into something new! The scrumptious Good Fortune by Kate Spain has my creativity juices in high gear already. I'm sure I have time to finish one more quilt ;)
Here I am, wishing for this fabulous fat quarter bundle, when I have a least 3 UFO's. Sometimes, I watch a quilting tutorial, or see a new fabric, and I just can't wait to try it! Nice to know I'm in good company...
Love it! Would have so much fun with this beautiful fabric!
Lovely. I have 3 projects right now. What a great giveaway. Thank you for the chance.
Yes, I'm like the rest; many projects growing and my mind cluttered up with many more! I have found Pinterest and will drown in the quagmire! I am determined not to just pin but to put some of those pins to reality by choosing a few to try each week or so....till summer comes anyway. ha.
That Good Fortunes is lovely with it's deep intense coloring....I love all her lines it seems.
Love this fabric! Super colorful and exciting! It would be so thrilling to win something....
Well, I have 3 projects on the go at the moment...a quilt for my son's birthday and a couple of Christmas wall hangings for next Christmas...one for us and one for a gift. I need to get started on a backpack for one of my granddaughters for her birthday. There's never enough time...
Many, many projects at one time! Beautiful fabrics!
I have many projects going on at one time! I would love to make a project with Good Fortune too-they are gorgeous!!! Thanks for the chance to win.
I am a multi-project gal. I get on a piecing kick, and put a bunch of tops together. Then, I quilt several and move onto binding for a time. So much wonderful fabric, never enough hours in the day! Thanks!
Finish a project?!? If I could stay off the computer, I'd quit finding new things that I have to try NOW! The colors in that fabric are wonderful.
always have several projects on the go love kate spain have made several quilts in her previous fabrics
I have several projects on the go... I try to finish one before I start the next one, but it doesn't always happen. Thanks for a chance to win this beautiful fabric! I love the colors & the dragonflies are so cool! :)
I love, love, love the colors in these fabrics and would be thrilled if I were to end up with this awesome giveaway. I have more than a few projects on the go, and new fabric added to my stash will be put to good use!
Judy
Oh I have tons of projects on the go. I basically still love each one, I just always see another project that needs doing! Love this bundle.
I really like this collection. Tried to resist it but I can't.
Are we suppose to finish projects?! I still have my first Amish quilt I pieced by hand from 1980. I just can't part with it for sentimental reasons. I love the new fabrics....awesome!
Most of the time, I work on more than one project at a time.
Love the "Good Fortune" fabrics!!
Kate Spain is my favorite designer. I went nuts with Terrain and I love Good Fortune already. It depends on the project. I have several quilt tops to quilt but smaller projects get finished much quicker. Thanks for the giveaway.
What would you recommend for a 'white on 'white' fabric that doesn't have that rubberized feel?
thanks!
I always have too many projects going at one time! My resolution this year is to finish up all my projects before starting a new one. And I must say, so far it's working. Let's see how long it lasts. ;) Thanks.
sweepster49 at comcast dot net
I usually have one or two "not urgent" projects sitting around waiting for progress and one project that has taken priority in the works. then I usually have one or two stacks of fabric waiting with a pattern to get started on (my inspiration projects). Love this pretty collection! your pricing plan is really GREAT! Thanks! Wendy
I'm so bad, I have tons of projects going at the same time! However, I think if I only worked on one at a time then I would not need to continuously buy more fabric!!! I truly love fabric, especially Kate Spain.
Oh, my!! I usually have at least two projects going on at the same time, as well as MANY waiting to be started! Love this new fabric line -thanks for your giveaway!
I would like to make a "mish mash" skirt with this beautiful fabric. Thank you for the giveaway. Karen
I absolutely love anything Kate Spain and the GF collection is magnificent. Thank you for such a generous giveaway.
Oh Kate Spain is such a talent! Finish3ed, Finished, could you please define that for me? Thanks for having the giveaway this fabric is over the top!
What is "Finish"? Word not in my vocabulary! LOL!
I wish I could finish one thing before starting another, but my attention span doesn't allow it. Right now I have 5 projects.
Oooh, I wish I could say one project at a time...but there are so many outstanding projects right now. I am signed up on a UFO Challenge this year, so hopefully that will help cross some projects off the list!
I have several going at once...not a ton, but I don't wait to totally finish before moving on.
I have several projects going at the moment but three of them have deadlines, so those go to the top of the list. These fabrics are just inspiring in color and design.
I have more projects on the go than I can fit in my sewing room! Would love to win though, as the fabric is gorgeous.
I'm not happy about having a pile of bags in my cupboard stuffed with partially finished items..but when the steam runs out it is hard to get that full head of..needed steam to keep the project happening and again when the wind of inspiration sweeps you in a totally new direction..just what is a girl to do except follow, now I ask you? Grace:)weftandwarp(at)hotmail(dot)com
I always have several projects going...both sewing projects and house projects! I'm kinda ADD that way!
I have to start and finish a project before I move to the next. :). And, I loooooove the Good Fortune collection, and your shop! Xox
I have several projects going at a time. Love anything from Kate Spain and this fabric is no exception.
I usually have two projects going on -- a big one and a small one. The small ones help keep me going with the big one! :-)
Thank you for a chance to win. :-)
I love this fabric. The colors are my favorites. Kate Spain is fabulous!
I love this fabric. The colors are my favorites. Kate Spain is fabulous!
I truly am a fabraholic. I want to make something from just about every line that comes out. And they just keep coming.
I truly am a fabraholic. I want to make something from just about every line that comes out. There are so many amazing designers now.
thanks for the chance to win. have lots of projects this would work for.
I always have many projects and sometimes I even finish them! The fabric is gorgeous-- thanks for a chance to win some fabric for a new project!
Are you kidding...I must have at least 7 quilts in progress! Isn't everyone supposed to get a quilt?
Congratulations JuneBug! Enjoy your new bundle of fabric-ie happiness! xo
I thought I had a problem, I have many projects going all the time and just keep starting more. Now that I know I am just like everyone else, I'll stop worrying about it and keep on keeping on. Whoo hoo!
Having quilted for a number of years, I find I am now drawn to soothing colors, esp the tourquoise/ reds-like Riley Blake is showing. Also love the Art Gallery collections- the fabrics are soft, silky feeling almost and they don't "shred"- beautiful colors in almost every collection. Hope you'll consider me for your new give-away.
